Christmas Crazyness

Christmas was great this year....just like every year.
But we started out by staying a week at the Schwenk's. It was so much fun. We hung out and played games and ate allllll the time :)
I was able to finish my book, Marley & Me and then for christmas, Alina gave me a Nicholas Sparks book and so I am really excited about starting that. The presents were awesome this year. I got a few sweaters, manicure things to pamper myself with, the cutest crocs out there picked out by my favorite/cutest nephew, a texas phone cover and my amazing husband gave me my new camera...love him :)
And Scott got so much stuff. He got his new phone, a wallet, a watch, gift cards, a North Face fleece and jacket, a bunch of beanies (hats) and jeans and so much more.
Then we suprised my parents and came home christmas night. That was a lot of fun. Everyone passed around gifts and we all just hung out for the rest of the night. Friday, I was able to go to the YMCA with dad and workout and then Scott and I met up with my Uncle Larry and his family, and then Uncle Wayne and his family.
We all went out to see Marley & Me and then we went to Fountain Square where dad was working. Us older kids went ice skating while the adults took a horse carriage ride around the city. It was great getting to see Jennifer and hanging out with her and of course hanging out with the kids, they are always entertaining :)
Saturday was a blast. We had to move our Christmas Brunch to saturday because Scott and I are out of town and so is Eric & Jes. So we had our brunch and then called Larry and the kids and we had a fun afternoon with all of them. We played a fun game of Apples to Apples, ate a ton, played A Christmas Story, and of course we all the boys were glued to Rich's Wii game. So here are a bunch of pictures of all the crazyness...

Dad had to work again down at Fountain Square Saturday night and so mom brought us siblings down to hang out with him. We took pictures, ate some Greater's Ice Cream, saw the Mounted Police Horses, and walked around town.

It all has come to an end now. Eric and Jes went home today, Rich and Kristy leave tomorrow morning and we are staying for a week. Mom and I came up with a New Year's Eve Cocktail Party....I am soooo excited to wear my new dress. And hopefully at some point dad, Scott and I are going to go learn how to make pita bread and grape leaf rolls from Tata.
Scott is almost done with his Vegas Project. It keeps growing everytime he gets on the computer:) But I really hope they win the Rookie of the Year for how hard they are all working since they dont have the same man power and resources as all the other schools. But they are mailing in the project on the 2nd and then I will take him to the airport Las Vegas Bound Jan. 19th.
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and enjoy the new year! :)

New Year, New Hair
I did it! I finally did it!
While we were at the Biltmore Estate over Thanksgiving, this lady had the cutest hair style and I fell in love. It took me until now to build up the courage to cut off my curls but it was now or never. So here we go, from long to short, and curly to straight. But dont worry, I still love my curls and will wear it curly more times than not :)

With this style I was going for, I did say that one side is suppose to be longer than the other so here is what she gave me... :)
<< she had to rinse out some other ladys hair and so Scott took a picture cuz he said I looked hot and should leave it as this >>
This was all of my beautiful hair that is no longer on my beautiful head :)
Ta-Da! The straight style << I love it! >>

The back side with it half straight and a little bit of curls under my "poof"

So much for "dead" week
This week is dead week and it doesnt really feel all that dead. I am re-writing projects, writing papers, filling out study-guides, and all that fun stuff. This week I have one exam...my online computer class and then my group fitness practical exam. With that, my partner and I teach this really crazy weird group fitness class that is nothing like a real group fitness class but hey, you gotta do what you have to do all for a grade. & I think Scott said he has a bunch of last minute papers and a presentation.
But for fun last night, Scott and I each opened up a christmas gift from one another. That was fun :) It only took me a week to break him and let me open one....I know I know, I'm such a child :)
So other than that, its on to studying for finals next week!
Oh and ps, I found the perfect most beautiful dress and so I'm thinking a graduation dress or maybe to wear around the house, you know :). So if anyone wants to contribute some money for the dress, I would truely love you :) and your money would be well spent, I promise! (I was going to post a picture but I cant find it online...ill just go to the store and take one myself. so check back soon!)

School news
Yay! Last night we had elections for my department's organization E.S.S.A, which stands for Exercise & Sport Science Association, where I was elected as the Executive Secretary :) Hopefully all of us new executives have a great semester and make it great for all the members.
Within the organization we do a lot of fundraising and then with that money, the members can go to our majors conferences. KAHPERD, our state conference, was here in Louisville in the fall semester and the national conference, AAHPERD, will be in Tampa this spring.
So thats all exciting for me. New position, traveling, plus I will be doing my internship all this spring. Which I cant remember if I told everyone or not but within my internship, I have already kind of gotten a "promotion". Our night supervisor who is the next step down from our boss decided to step down from the responsibilities and I have to fill his shoes...which are big shoes. All of our staff has always looked to him. He does everything and knows everything and now I have to be him. So I'm really excited about that. I do have to warn you though, if you see me, my computer will be attached to my hip :) One of the responsibilities to keep up with the sublist so my email is going to get out of control.
Well, thats all my news. Scott is working like crazy on his Vegas project. This is the last week of classes. Next week is "dead week" but really thats just when everything is due and last of tests and quizzes. Then the 15th is the first day of Finals. Scott has his last final on the 19th then its a week at the Schwenk's household for Richard's birthday and Christmas! Then we will head up to Cincinnati for a week with my side of the family for a second Christmas and a little new year's party.
So we cant wait to be done with school and home hanging out with everyone! :)

Vacation Recap!
Hey there family!
Thought this would be a good way to share our news, stories, & memories with all of you.
We just got back from North Carolina with my parents. It was a blast! :) We left last Saturday and what was suppose to be a 5 hour drive turned into an 8 hour trip. Mapquest wasnt so nice to us so we ended up going north instead of south, saw Virginia and even Bristol Speedway. So that was a lot of fun.
Sunday, We were given a map and decided to explore. We found the town of Boone, NC which is also the home of Appalachian State University. Then mom and I came back Monday for a little shopping :) (Scott stayed home and worked on his Vegas project)
Tuesday, was a lazy day. Dad came down Tuesday night and Wednesday, Scott and I tried out our skiing skills. (Then had to walk up the mountain back to the room...it was not fun) Turkey day Thursday, I stayed in my PJ's till after I ate :) Mom did a great job on the turkey, it was amazing. Then dad dragged us out to some waterfall which ended up being beautiful. From there, we made it to the movies and saw Four Christmases....great movie! So funny. For our last day, we went to Ashville,NC and went to the Biltmore Estate. It was so huge but so much fun. (Again dad, thanks for meking us go) We drove the grounds and went to the Inn, the Winery (& did a taste testing) then went to the house for a 2 hour tour. Lets just say I wouldnt mind living there :)
Vacation all in all was awesome! We ended it with hanging out with Scott's family. We were able to put up the tree and decorations.
Its back to school for now. Trying to graduate in the spring, find jobs, and figure out life :)
