Date Night
Tonight was Date Night for the Schwenk's. We dont do it often but we found out Jennifer Coolidge was coming to Lextington and bought these tickets 2+ months ago. The name, Jennifer Coolidge, may not ring a bell so you may know her as Pauletta from Legally Blonde
or by the evil stepmother in A Cinderella Movie with Hilary Duff
It was a fun little night out. We really splurged on dinner....we had Chic Fil A :p
Then we went to the show, waited in line for a picture and autograph. She was very impressed that we brought our movies for her to sign, not to sure why, probably because everyone else was just using random pieces of paper. But she even personalized it to us. She asked for our names and of course instead of "Jaclyn" she heard "Daphne" I almost said "sure, whatever you would like to call me" cuz the girl before us said that but we did correct her. But as we did our research on the way home, we realized that she played a character with my exact name yet acted as if it was a completely forign name to her. Oh well, I guess her characters are close to who she really is. But she was pretty cool all in all. She was funny and nice and even seemed like she wanted to actually talk with us, yet we had nothing else to say except "good job" and turned and walked out (plus super long line of other waiting so we didnt want to make anyone mad)
So here we are....and take note of how big Scott smiled :p

Awesome Weekend
This weekend, I only had one cake and then we went with a group of kids from the Vineyard Youth Group to the concert Winter Jam in Lexington. It was sooooo much fun. We got there 2 hours before the doors opened and still thought we weren't going to make it in. They ended up turning people away, but we made it in thankfully. It was a huge concert with a ton of bands. It was an amazing night of Worship with over 20,000 people praising God. Scott and I even committed to sponsoring a little girl from China. It was a great....long....but great night even though the time did change which meant we didn't get home until 3am and had to be up for church about 4hrs later :) Then we ended it by a great lunch with friends, and a bonfire with s'mores....yum :)
The band Red
NewsBoys flying all over the place :)
The drummer was spinning around while playing....so awesome
So excited to be there :)

Super Mario Cake
Another cake!....shocker :p
But very exciting news on my behalf (for once). I was contacted by a local photographer who saw my cakes on facebook and asked if I would like to sell her "1st Birthday Smash Cakes". I def. jumped on the oppertunity and even ordered myself some business cards to give to those families and of course for all my other cakes.
Smash cakes are very tiny cakes. Some photographers use large cupcakes, and what they do is give it to the child who is turning 1 and allow them to eat and make a total mess while taking photos of them. It's very cute and apparently the new photography craze because I'm seeing it everywhere and now jumping on the bandwagon to make a few bucks :p

Busy Weekend of Cakes
Sorry, I know all I do is post my cakes anymore but our lives are boring and this is all I do anymore. Except, Scott joined a band so here in the next few weeks, our lives will be turned upside down but in a very fun and exciting way.
