Eye Chart Cake

It has been awhile...

I am so sorry I have not posted anything lately. It has been awhile. But it has been crazy busy around here....I'll probably forget some of it and leave it out :(

Mom, dad, Kristy, & Rich went and have made it back from Egypt. Very jealous but I am saving for my turn :) Their pictures are amazing and cant wait to see it with my own eyes. They brought back some of the greatest gifts ever! Mom found an Eye of Ra necklace for me...its ahhhh-mazing! I got a beautiful black, blue, & gold Galabeya and a GORGEOUS red Belly Dancing Outfit :) Mom had my favorite earrings made for me and lots of other little things. Scott was brought back a Mizmar and another musical instruments that I forget what they are called. Its amazing how with the one, he had no idea how to play it yet figured it out in 5 mins...he is so talented :) Oh and the best beach towel EVER that they found....they found it in McDonald's. It's blue and gold and has "McDonald's" written on the top part and then camels & the pyramids on the lower part....its great! :)

While they were gone, I found a Toyota Sequoia and traded in my car :) crazy I know but this Sequoia is beautiful and couldn't pass it by.

ummm lets see, oh! Scott built a shelf in the garage for storage so now we have to re-organize the whole house to spread out the stuff we never use :P

This week, I am working on 3 cakes for people. I am really excited. They have all picked out great themes so I just hope I can make awesome cakes for them :)

Our youth group is doing great. The girls had a sleepover and had a great turn out! They all got along and made great friendships. Our next few events are going to be a blast. We have a hayride & bonfire planned and another weekend, the whole church is invited to sleep come for a Youth/Family Camp out. We are going to have dinner together, play games, have a bonfire, and camp in the cabins. And before we know it, it will be Halloween where we are planning a Costume Party....what a crazy busy month...shew!

This past weekend was great. We went up to Cincinnati to see the folks since they just got back. It was fun seeing them and all their pictures. Scott and I were able to FINALLY eat at Montgomery Inn Boat House and then we headed over to Fountain Square for the Midpoint Music Festival......that was quite interesting. There was this rapping group making fun of white people and yet, all the white people where dancing along....
But the second band was pretty good. They were from Brooklyn, NY and they have a song that MTV has picked up and will be playing it next month they said. UC was playing the Sooners and almost had them but I kept checking out the wedding that was going on in the hotel next to the square.

(freezing down on the Square)

Scott's job has recently moved him into the office and he is loving it. He says it's a great balance where he is in the office but still gets out to the job sites often.

Well, I think I have caught up on everything :)

Kentucky Family Reunion

What a great weekend! Kristy & Rich came in from Virginia, Eric & Jes brought Madelyn, and mom came down. We headed over to the farm for another fabulous Kentucky Family Reunion. We sat in the heat, swam, and even ate lunch out of a garbage can :) & then, everyone finally got to see our house for the first time. We missed you daddy! Hope I took enough photos for you to feel like you didn't miss a thing.

It's been awhile

Sorry I haven't posted much lately. Apart of me really didn't want to. We had good news mixed in with the bad and then life just got really crazy....it's still crazy but manageable.

Recently, Scott was in a car accident. I received the worst phone call of my life but thankfully it came from his sweet voice telling me he was ok but it wasn't good. It was the longest half hour of my life trying to find him. I am unfamiliar with the area that he works in and then our cell phones aren't the greatest and kept dropping our calls. I would get through to him long enough to make sure he was ok and if the ambulance had made it yet and then I would hear "click". I made it to the hospital to find out he was not there and they were unaware of his accident which meant the ambulance still did not make it to him. I immediately turned around and was determined to find him. I was just starting to pull into a gas station to ask the where abouts of the road when I saw his truck pass me by.

The only explanation as to why his is alive is God. No if's and's or but's. It was all God. Being the smart educated person I am :) I realized that if they have the truck then they must have him. I arrived the same time he did. He was a complete mess but at least alive. In the end, his cuts were cleaned up and had a few stitches but was able to walk away with only a broken collar bone. He did end up needing surgery but he goes Monday to remove the staples and he is good as new :)

On the flip side of that fun little adventure, my little Miss Madelyn Reese finally joined us in this world. She is absolutely beautiful! << she looks like me of course >> We were able to spend a few days with her and give her lots of hugs and kisses. I just couldn't take me eyes off of her and I practically had to fight her away from Uncle Rich's arms...baby hog :)

Now it's on to looking for a new truck, Scott is completing his very first project as a Superintendent and if it's A ok with Scott's doctor, white water rafting...
